Executive Session for the purpose of discussing strategy and negotiations and abatement request: Reasons: (#3, #7 Agreement discussion, strategy that could be affected detrimentally in open meeting). – The purpose of the Executive Session is to discuss strategy with respect to litigation where an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the Town, and to comply with, and requiring confidentiality of abatement applications, or act under the authority of, any general law, i.e. MGL c. 59, § pursuant to G.L. c 30A, Section 21(a) #3 and #7 –

Assessors vote to enter Executive Session with intention to not return to public meeting.

And as declared by chair, open meeting could be detrimental on bargaining or litigation position.
