--Estimate how many Jennie/Riverside/Gill History books needed

through the holidays this year

--Vote to reprint enough to cover our total estimates

-- Banner revisions

-- Budget still available for FY ‘22= $62.61

3. New Business:

a. Peter Mars’ presentation on May 21 (discussion)

-- Visit to original CP property at River Road was very meaningful (Pam, tabled until July)

c. GHC table at Harvest Fair Sept. 25 (Planning) (Kit)

d. Protecting Gill’s natural resources: Historic land for sale in Gill (ongoing investigation):

What is a reasonable plan: town bylaws? Enlarge Archaeological District? (Pam)

Kit will work with Lynda and will reach out to our Mass Historical Commission contact for help

f. Suggested GHC Goals for the rest of 2022:

--Finish Wert events/project

--Harvest Fair – add one thing to what we did last year; focus on dino and fossils?

--Plan to order new books in early August to cover the Harvest Fair and the holidays

--Finish roofing at Bridge kiosk (see 4d. below)

--Get cost estimates for anchorage repair; explore grant application

--Inventory RMB storage room; limit mold; protect photograph collections; note antique chairs

--Finish town annual reports and write one for 2022

--Support town progress on repairing RMB stairs (help where possible)

--Try to open museum with limited hours in late fall; start regular hours in January

--Museum repairs: doorbell, door panels etc.

4. Old and Continuing Business:

a. GHC Collection:

1. Museum work will continue in July. (Pam)

2. Pam reached out to David Reeder at NMH to locate Gill’s collection of Roswell Field fossils.

Mr. Reeder is working on a display of Field’s fossils in the new NMH Gilder Science Center.

3. CP photo: Phil Maddern owns a table with inlaid CP tiles in it. We need to photograph it.

4. CP images donated by Gill community members will be collected on flash drives and

catalogued this summer (Maryanne, Kit)

b. Acquisitions (Kit)

1. CP tile “Our Daily Bread”, donated by Roberta Potter

2. For GHC purchase, loaned by David Brule: Wampanoag artist Robert Peters from Boston,

print of painting, salmon fishing ($40.00) (Kit)

c. Battlefield Advisory Board meeting June 1 (Kit)
