Old Business

  • Review of Minutes from 3/28/22, 4/25/22, 5/9/22, and 5/23/22
  • Notification by Richard French & Emily Samuels, 277 Main Road, of intent to remove 1.94 acres from Chapter 61 and gift it to their son. Town has right of first refusal. Land is located directly behind 253 Main Road.
    • Board of Assessors, Planning Board, and Conservation Commission all do not recommend exercising the right of first refusal
    • Vote to sign “Notice of Intent Not to Exercise Option…”

New Business

  • Chapter 90 project request - $6,000 for 600 tons of gravel for town roads (purchase at FY22 price of $10/ton instead of FY23 price of $15.75/ton)
  • Award Bids for FY23 Highway Products
    • H-1 Aggregates & Loam – various prices and vendors
    • H-2 Cold Patch – renewal with various prices and vendors
    • H-7 Hot Mix Asphalt Picked Up - $68/ton, Eurovia/Northeast Paving
    • H-9A Highway Line Painting – various $, K5 Corporation (prim.) & Markings Inc (sec.)
    • H-11A-1 Road Crack Sealing - $10.15/gal (fiber) and $13.04/gal (PCRM), Sealcoating Inc.
    • H-14 Rubberized Chip Seal Applied - $3.95/sq yard, All States Construction
    • H-15S Hot Mix Asphalt Applied (Roadways) - $82/ton Warner (prim.), $87/ton Northeast Paving (sec.)
    • H-23 Catch Basin Cleaning – renewal w/ REWC Land Management (prim.) $242.31/hr & Eastern Pipe Service (sec.) $252.35/hr
  • Grant Contract for Winter Roads Assistance Program (WRAP) - $114,656 (estimated) – must be spent by 6/30/23 on rehabilitation, reconstruction, resurfacing or preservation of roadways; repair or replacement of traffic control devices, signage, guardrails, and storm grates; and road striping or painting
  • Award 2022 Leases to Brian Peila for Agricultural Use of Mariamante Field ($300) and Boyle Lot ($250)
  • Requested Modification to Police Chief Redmond’s Employment Contract – change would allow compensation for hours works when the funding is from grants, paid details, and other non-town-funded sources
