  • Michael Edwards, Public Services Manager with the Edward J. Collins, Jr. Center for Public Management – possible scope of a Community Compact “Efficiency & Regionalization” grant program for assistance exploring alternative models for police services
  • Review of Minutes: 8/29/22, 9/12/22, 10/11/22, 11/21/22, 12/5/22, 12/19/22, 1/30/23, 2/13, 2/27, 3/13, 3/28, 3/30, 4/10, 4/24, 5/8, 5/22, 6/5, 6/20, 7/3, 9/11, 9/25, 11/06, 11/27

New Business

  • Fire Department topics
    • Cost estimate to replace counter/desk in radio room and to complete floor/decking above Chief’s office and men’s bathroom to expand space used for training and storage
    • Purchase order - $2,875 from Fire Dept budget for drop tank for new engine
    • Brush truck update – delivery anticipated for Jan 2024, need to finalize source of funds for purchase (NMH Donation & ARPA)
  • ARPA Coronavirus State & Local Fiscal Relief Spending Plan
    • Consider repurposing $6,000 of ARPA Funding from Town Hall Multi-Function Copier Replacement to Fire Department Brush Truck
  • Annual vote to close a portion of Pisgah Mountain Road and/or River Road to vehicle traffic for the winter – suggested dates of 12/5/23 – 4/1/24
  • Resignation – Tom Hodak from Cable Advisory Committee effective 11/21/23
  • Request from Tim Batchelder for exemption under MGL Chapter 268A, Section 20 to allow him to hold multiple appointed positions (Administrative Clerk and PEG Access Videographer)
  • Policy on flying flags on Town-owned flagpoles
  • Other business as may arise after the agenda has been posted.
    • Letter of support for Comcast's application to Broadband Infrastructure Gap Networks Grant Program for funds to provide additional buildout to unserved locations
