Selectboard meeting w/ Assessors (Exec. Session)

4:30 PM Call to Order (If the meeting is being videotaped, announce that fact. If remote participation will occur, announce member & reason, & need for roll call voting)

(Note: The Executive Session will be held jointly by the Selectboard and the Board of Assessors. The Assessors and Selectboard will convene in open/public meetings.)

Executive Session – The purpose of the Executive Session is to discuss strategy with respect to litigation, i.e. privileged details and strategy regarding Kearsarge Gill LLC case before the Appellate Tax Board. The Executive Session is being held per MGL c 30A section 21(a)7, to comply with, or act under the authority of, any general or special law or federal grant-in-aid requirements, MGL c 30A section 21(a)3, to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares, and MGL c30A section 21(a)6 to consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real estate, if the chair declares that an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the public body

  • Chair determines an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating and negotiating position of the Town
  • Take roll-call vote to enter executive session
  • Announce whether the meeting will reconvene in open session
