Free Permethrin Spraying for Tick Prevention & Child Car Seat Adjustment

Free event on Saturday, July 18th from 9-11 A.M. at the Green School (Riverside Municipal Building), 54 French King Hwy

The Gill Board of Health is hosting a free event on Saturday, July 18th from 9 - 11 A.M. at the Green School (Riverside Municipal Building), 54 French King Highway.

Tick-borne disease risk is high in Massachusetts. There will be a free, open session for preventative tick spraying. We will use permethrin, an effective insecticide against ticks, mosquitoes and chiggers. Once it dries it is quite safe for humans and pets. Please bring outdoor footwear, socks, and/or pants, and a brown paper bag. We will spray and then bag the items so they can dry for 24 hours.

Also, at the event there will be trained installers for child car seats. Please bring your car seat and we will check it for safety and adjust it as needed.

The event is Saturday, July 18th from 9-11 AM at the Riverside Municipal Building, also known as the Green School, located on Route 2 at 54 French King Highway.
