Return to Board of Health
The Town of Gill became a member of the Pioneer Valley Mosquito Control District (PVMCD) in 2022. Mosquito Control Districts fall under the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture Resources, and there are currently nine operational districts statewide. The districts are tasked with mosquito public education, disease surveillance and other services to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses. District services are tailored to their communities' unique geographical makeup and needs of their residents and are determined in consultation with local municipal officials and Boards of Health.
