The Town of Gill is accepting bids for the surplus equipment listed below. All items may be viewed at the Highway Department, 196C Main Road. To schedule an appointment, contact Mick LaClaire at 413-863-2324.
2008 Ford Crown Vic police cruiser, V8 engine, still runs, retired from active service in October 2018. Being sold “AS IS” and will not pass inspection due to body rust. Approximately 140,000 miles but ODOMETER IS BROKEN. Might make a good demolition derby car. Winning bidder is responsible for, and agrees to remove all police markings from vehicle.
1986 Ford E350 cutaway van, 460 cid V8 engine (gasoline), 3-speed automatic transmission with Quigley Quadravan high/low range 4WD and conversion Spicer lockout hubs, dual 40-gallon fuel tanks (fuel gauge does not display a reading from one of the tanks). Braun 12-foot aluminum light rescue body, foam insulated, rear heater/vent fan.
Electrical system has 12-volt dual battery with built-in battery tender, shoreline plug, and low voltage monitor with automatic fast idle. Includes a generator (Onan 5,000 KW RV Genset with breaker panel, 120-volt AC outlets and 2 telescoping halogen lights). Includes a 8,000-pound winch (Warn MX) with remote control. GVW is 10,500 pounds.
Approximately 25,000 miles. Previously used as Fire Department’s Rescue Van, and retired from active service in September 2018. Being sold “AS IS.” Winning bidder is responsible for, and agrees to remove all fire/rescue markings from vehicle.
1979 Galion rubber tire roller, Model 3500, Waukesha RD310 engine. Being sold “AS IS.”
1986 Woods MC72-1 rotary cutter for 3-point hitch (Category 2). 72-inch cut, 540 RPM PTO speed. Being sold “AS IS.”
1986 Motrim arm mower. Being sold “AS IS.”
All items will be sold with no warranty, including merchantability or suitability for any particular purpose. A Bid Form and Non-Collusion Statement are required and may be obtained at the Town Hall or from the Town website, www.gillmass.org/bids. A certified check or cash and removal of the purchased item(s) within 7 days of the award are required.
Bids must be in a sealed envelope marked with the item being bid on and mailed or delivered to the Selectboard, 325 Main Road, Gill, MA 01354 by Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at which time all bids will be opened and read aloud.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any technicalities, and make awards in the best interest of the Town.
